  I feel terrible writing this because it is the sort of cafe everyone wants to love. The ambiance and location are great, the people working there are great, but after my third try yesterday, I just have to warn anyone with a palate not to try it. It is as if the chef there has never eaten a good meal before. The food combinations, dressings, general taste is bland at best and often just bad. Such a bummer. And it is a bad poster child for vegan food. The coffee is fine. SORRY! Get a chef with taste buds and I will change my review.

  Excellently unique and inventive menu with exclusively vegetarian/vegan fare. All ingredients are locally sourced and made to order. Great strong coffee that'll keep you going all day on one cup. The staff can be a little frazzled and forgetful when they're busy, but they're always accommodating. The shopping portion of the experience is a cool walk down memory lane, and there's always an outrageous find on any of the clothing racks in the basement.

  The above poster who said they "ordered a coffee & were handed an empty mug" pretty much sums it up.
  A friend insisted on going here because it is "so cute."
  Upon walking in I felt it was more of a "you are lucky to be here in our Brooklyn poser style coffee house where we charge you
  over 3 dollars for miniature, less than a bite cookies."
  Can't help but resent this new Kingston model of "we'll charge you more for less bc you should feel like we are so hip."
  Pretentious & overrated.
